Make the perfectly juicy and tender turkey with this turkey injection marinade. The simple broth and spice mixture this marinade is made of will make sure you get the best turkey with lots of flavor.
Add all the ingredients in a small saucepan on medium heat.
½ cup chicken broth, ½ cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder, 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat), ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
Stir until the butter is melted and everything is well mixed.
Alternatively, add all ingredients to a small blender and blend till smooth.
Taste for salt and adjust if you need to.
Use a meat injector to draw the marinade into the syringe.
Then, inject the marinade into different parts of the turkey (breasts, thighs, wings). Inject the marinade deep into the muscle, focusing on thicker areas.
Massage the areas injected to make sure the marinade is well distributed.
Once the turkey is injected, let it rest for a few hours in the fridge to absorb the flavors before cooking.
Notes
Prepare the turkey before you make the marinade. You'll want to remove the neck and giblets.
Inject the marinade into the thickest parts of the turkey (breasts, thighs, and wings).
Try injecting at different angles so that you can get the marinade distributed evenly.
After injecting the marinade let the turkey rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours so the marinade can soak into the meat.
