If you've been craving some pumpkin spice latte this fall season, this keto pumpkin spice latte recipe is the perfect fall drink for you! With only 2 net carbs, you can enjoy this soothing coffee drink on a keto lifestyle.

pumpkin spice latte ready to drink

This time of year is pumpkin season and all things pumpkin spice. I like to make my spiced bulletproof coffee and have a slice of keto spice cake, which contains my favorite fall spices.

If you've been missing regular pumpkin spice lattes on your keto diet, you can now spice up your life and your tummy with this low-carb pumpkin spice latte. It takes less than five minutes to prepare, is cheaper than buying from the coffee shop, and tastes really close to the real thing.

    Is Pumpkin Spice Latte keto-friendly?

No, the regular pumpkin spice latte is not keto-friendly due to its high sugar content. For example, Starbucks grande pumpkin spice latte contains 52 grams of carbs and 50 grams of sugar in just one 16oz cup.

The good news is that you can make your own healthy pumpkin spice latte that is low in carbs and tastes great. This keto-friendly version contains just three net carbs per serving.

    Equipment used

You only need a handheld frother or immersion blender to make this keto pumpkin spice latte. The recipe is so easy that anyone can do it and get it right every time!

    Ingredients Used

    black coffee, keto pumpkin creamer
    • Black coffee: A simple brew of your favorite black coffee forms the base of the latte.
    • Keto pumpkin spice creamer: This incredible-tasting keto pumpkin spice creamer is made with real pumpkin puree and has zero artificial ingredients! It adds all the flavor and more to your latte.
    • Sugar-free heavy whipped cream (optional): You can skip this whipped cream, but I prefer to add it for a full-on savory experience.
    • Keto-friendly sweetener (optional): If you have a sweet tooth, you probably want your latte extra sweet. You can add some more of your favorite low-carb sweetener to your pumpkin spice latte.

How To Make Keto Pumpkin Latte

    1. Pour some hot coffee into a cup, then add the pumpkin spice creamer.
    2. Add more sweetener if you want the latte really sweet.
    3. Mix together using a milk frother or immersion blender.
    4. Top up with sugar-free whipped cream for best results!

    Storing and Reheating

This creamy and delightful keto latte is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the latte in the fridge if you want to. First, pour it into a covered container like a large mason jar or any other sealable one, then refrigerate. Use within a few days for best results.

Reheat in a small saucepan on medium to low heat until it simmers. You can also let it thaw a bit and then enjoy it cold.

    Tips and Variations

    • Top your low carb pumpkin spice latte with some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice mix.
    • This creamer uses coconut and unsweetened almond milk, but you can also add some heavy cream or grass-fed butter for healthier fats.
    • Try an iced pumpkin spice latte to keep you nice and cool inside. This perfect blend of frozen pumpkin, creamer, and coffee will kick-start your day with a bang!
    • Add some keto caramel to your keto pumpkin spice latte for an even more enticing flavor that will give you all the good feels.
    • You can also use a shot of espresso instead of coffee for this recipe. If you don't have an espresso machine, you will need to make the coffee quite strong so the taste doesn't get lost in the mix.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte keto?

No, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is definitely not keto. The latte is made up of sugars and contains a lot of carbs and calories. If you're on a ketogenic diet, the carbs in it will kick you out of ketosis.

What is the taste of Pumpkin Spice Latte?

Pumpkin spice latte is a deliciously creamy coffee drink that has a wonderful earthy taste. This is mainly due to the pumpkin puree and fall spices in it. The spices include cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice.
