African dishes are very rich and flavorful but super high in carbs, so I began to experiment with different ways to reduce the carb count while preserving the original bold and spicy flavors.
I also like to experiment with dishes from other nationalities, changing things up, and creating unique fusions of global flavors in dishes from all over the world.
My dishes are mostly low carb, keto, gluten-free, paleo, and I have a few vegan/vegetarian dishes thrown in here and there. I am a huge believer that no matter what type of diet you follow, it is so much more exciting and easy to maintain if the food tastes delicious!
Healthy food does not have to be bland - I use traditional African spices like ground crayfish and and also use blends of spices with bouillon powder, curry, thyme, and cayenne pepper to create rich, spicy flavors.
But rest assured, your food will still taste great even if you don't have these ethnic spices on hand, and you can always adjust the spiciness of your dishes to your heart's desire!
Low Carb Africa’s Mission
My mission here are Low Carb Africa is to empower individuals and teach them how to create incredibly tasty dishes while staying true to a low carb diet. No matter what your cooking expertise is, whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned chef, you can create low carb dishes you will actually want to eat.
Variety is the spice of life and it’s so easy to get bored of your diet meals. That's where Low Carb Africa comes in, serving up a whole bunch of tasty and healthy dishes with different flavors.
