    To make this low carb donut recipe, you'll need a 6-hole donut pan, a large mixing bowl, and a whisk.

    • Coconut Oil: Coconut oil will make sure these almond flour donuts won't stick to the mold. 
    • Almond Flour: Almond flour is the base of this donut dough, and it adds a nutty taste.
    • Baking Powder: Since these are baked donuts, it's really important to use fresh baking powder to get a good rise.
    • Sea Salt: A pinch of sea salt enhances the overall flavor profile of the donuts.
    • Monk Fruit Sweetener: Monk fruit sweetener is a natural low-carb sugar substitute, ideal for this easy keto donuts recipe.
    • Eggs: Eggs act as a binding agent, supporting the donuts' structure and texture.
    • Unsalted Butter: Unsalted butter offers a rich, buttery taste and gives the donuts a tender crumb.

    1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
    2. Grease a 6-hole donut pan with coconut oil.
    3. Whisk together the dry ingredients (almond flour, baking powder, monk fruit sweetener, and sea salt) in a medium bowl. 
    4. Make a well in the center of the almond flour mixture and add the wet ingredients (vanilla extract, almond milk, and melted butter). Slowly add in the eggs one by one, stirring the mixture between each egg.
    5. As the batter is very wet, I recommend pouring it into a measuring cup to make it easier.  Then, pour the keto donut batter into the prepared 6-hole metal or silicone donut pan. Fill each donut mold as close to ¾ full as possible.
    6. Bake the keto donuts in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. They are done when they are golden brown. Note: The center of the donuts may fill in, but that can be corrected once they are cooled.
    7. Allow the donuts to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the molds. Then, remove them from the donut pan. Allow the donuts to cool completely on a wire rack before adding the glaze (optional).

    Optional Glaze

    1. In a small bowl, combine powdered sweetener, heavy cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the ingredients meld into a smooth, luscious glaze.
    2. Dip the cooled keto donuts into the glaze or artfully drizzle it over the tops with a piping bag.
    3. Give the glaze a few minutes to set on the donuts before diving in.

    To keep these low-carb donuts fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature unless you add the glaze. Since the glaze contains dairy, store leftover glazed doughnuts in the fridge. For a fresh-from-the-oven flavor, microwave your donut for 10-15 seconds before eating.

    You can also freeze leftover keto donuts by wrapping them in plastic wrap and placing them in a freezer bag. When you are ready to eat them, simply thaw, reheat, and top with the glaze.

    Instructions

    To Make the Keto Donuts
