Are you looking for a new and delicious egg breakfast recipe to add to your rotation? This easy keto egg bites recipe is healthy and tastes absolutely delicious! It’s the perfect keto breakfast recipe for a busy morning.

    Keto Egg Bites-1

This egg bites recipe is the low carb version of Starbuck egg bites. It contains all the deliciousness and none of the carbs. This recipe is the perfect keto breakfast or anytime snack because it’s low carb, high fat, gluten-free, and low in calories!

❤️ Why you'll love this recipe

This is one of the easiest egg muffin recipes ever. They will be ready in just a few steps with just a handful of ingredients. And they’re so filling because of their high-fat content so that you can have just a few, and they will fill you up for a long time.

I also love that this easy breakfast or brunch option is excellent for meal prep. For example, I can store the egg muffins and then reheat them when I need them.

    💭 Are egg bites keto-friendly?

Egg bites are keto-friendly. The ingredients, including eggs, sausages, ham, and cheese, are all low carb.

Eggs contain Omega-3 fatty acids and loads of other vitamins and nutrients essential for health. This makes eggs a necessity when you’re on a keto diet.

    🧾 Ingredients Used

Ingredients to make Keto Egg Bites

You only need a few ingredients for these low carb egg bites.

    • Eggs: I use ten large whole eggs for this easy egg bites recipe, but you can use any number of eggs you want.
    • Olive oil spray: You will need a cooking spray to spray the muffin cups. Alternatively, you can use a brush to lightly coat the muffin cups with oil or melted butter.
    • Chopped sausage and ham: To keep this recipe perfectly keto, ensure that you check the labels for nutritional information. Sausages and ham might contain hidden sugars and other additives.
    • Cheddar cheese: You can use Parmesan cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, or any other keto-friendly kind of cheese you prefer instead.
    • Spices: Onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

🔪 How To Make This Recipe

    1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
    2. Break the eggs in a large bowl, then add the ham, sausage, and spices.
    3. Whisk all the ingredients together.
    4. Next, line a muffin tin with individual muffin cups and then spray them with olive oil. You can use a for best results.
    5. Pour the egg mixture into the egg muffin cups, about halfway full.
    6. Top with grated cheese.
    7. Place the muffin pan in the oven and let it bake for 15 minutes.
    8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Steps in making Keto Egg Bites

    🥫 Storing and Reheating

Store leftover egg muffins in the refrigerator for about three to five days. Put them in an airtight container first, then place the container in the body of the fridge.

You can also freeze this recipe for up to three months. First, put them on a baking sheet and freeze them for about an hour. Then transfer them to an airtight container or a freezer bag. This will make sure the egg bites don’t stick together.

You can quickly reheat the leftover bites whenever you want. Reheat them either in the microwave oven or your oven. Microwave them for a minute or two till they are hot.

🍽️ What can I eat this recipe with?

Enjoy this low carb egg muffin dish with a variety of foods. Pair it with a keto salad or some keto bread. You can also enjoy the cheese egg muffins with roasted veggies like buffalo cauliflower or broccoli.

    💭 Tips and variations

    • Add your choice of ingredients to the creamy mixture before baking. Add chopped red pepper, green onions, green peppers, or any bell peppers you prefer.
    • Pour in some heavy cream or milk for added creaminess and fluffiness.
    • You can use just egg whites for this easy egg muffin recipe. They’re equally tasty.
    • Use a whisk to mix the ingredients so there will be bubbles in the mixture. Bubbles will make the muffins delightfully light and fluffy.
    • If you add veggies like fresh spinach to the recipe, make sure to cook them slightly, or they will release too much water into the muffins.
    •  If you don’t have keto egg cups, you can use a silicone egg mold or an egg bite mold. You can also use a mini muffin pan for this recipe
