    ❤️ Why you'll love it

These juicy turkey burgers taste way better than any frozen turkey burger patties from the store since they're made fresh with homemade ingredients. Plus, air frying gives them the perfect crust while keeping the turkey patty juicy inside.

For this air fryer turkey burger recipe, you only need a mixing bowl and an air fryer.

    🧾 Ingredients Used

    Turkey Burger Ingredients
    • : You'll need fresh ground turkey to make these juicy air fryer turkey burgers.
    • Spices: Coconut aminos, garlic powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper,, and salt add so much flavor and just enough moisture to the meat mixture.
    • Olive oil: A little oil will help prevent the turkey patties from sticking in the air fryer basket.

🔪 How To Make This Recipe

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 350F.
    2. Mix the ground turkey and all the spices together.
    3. Spray the air fryer with the olive oil spray and place the ground beef in a single row.
    4. Cook at 350F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
    5. Let the turkey burger rest for 5 minutes before serving.
    Steps to make turkey burgers

    🥫 Storing and Reheating

Store any leftover burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. You can also freeze leftover patties in a freezer-safe bag for 1-3 months.

To reheat these healthy turkey burgers, microwave them for 2-3 minutes or bake them in the air fryer at 350 for 3-5 minutes.

    💭 Tips and Variations

    • Since different air fryers cook at different speeds and temperatures, use a meat thermometer to take the internal temperature of the patties. You'll know they're done when they reach 165 degrees F.
    • Feel free to adapt this recipe to your liking and add any of your favorite spices, like Italian seasoning or my delicious homemade poultry seasoning.
    • If you only need a few delicious burgers immediately, freeze the extra patties with a layer of parchment paper between them. Thaw and cook them like normal for a delicious turkey burger any night of the week.
    • Feel free to substitute soy sauce for the coconut aminos or even a couple of dashes of Worcestershire sauce for a savory flavor.
    • These burgers taste just as great with ground chicken, too.

🍽️ What can I eat this recipe with?

Add your favorite toppings to your burger patty to complete your meal, like sliced cheese, fresh red onion, lettuce, barbecue sauce, or homemade mayo with french fries or sweet potato fries.

For a low carb option, skip the burger buns and serve this juicy burger in a lettuce wrap with a side of delicious broccoli salad with bacon. You can also serve your ground turkey burger over a salad with cucumber, red onion, and tomato and this keto blue cheese dressing.

    👩‍🍳 Frequently asked questions

How long to cook turkey burgers in an air fryer?

In an air fryer at 350 degrees F, your thawed turkey burgers only need to cook for 12-15 minutes.

What temperature should turkey burgers be cooked at?

Like all ground turkey recipes, these juicy turkey burgers should be cooked until the center of the patty reaches 165 degrees F.

What can I add to ground turkey for flavor?

Since ground turkey can be bland, you'll need to add the right balance of seasonings for tons of flavor. These tasty burgers have a mix of coconut aminos, garlic powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. You don't need to worry about bread crumbs; these spices and herbs will always ensure a juicy, flavorful burger.
