    Ingredients Used

    eggs, parsley, salt, pepper
    • Eggs: I use four large eggs for this easy and fast recipe.
    • Butter: I use unsalted butter to control how much salt is in the recipe. You could use your favorite cooking oil like coconut oil, but I like the flavor that butter adds.
    • Spices: Black pepper and salt.
    • Garnish (optional): Parsley, red pepper flakes.

    How To Make This Recipe

    1. Break the eggs into a mixing bowl, add salt and pepper, then whisk.
    2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
    3. Pour in the eggs and let them set for 2 minutes on low heat.
    4. Next, using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula, scrape the eggs from the pan and flip them.
    5. Then break the eggs apart and stir till it's your preferred level of doneness.
    6. Top with parsley or red chili pepper.

    Storing and Reheating

Store leftovers in the fridge for about three to four days in an airtight container.

Reheat leftover keto scrambled eggs in a non-stick skillet or non-stick pan in melted butter. Stir repeatedly on medium heat, not high heat, till it gets hot.

What can I eat this recipe with?

Eggs are versatile, so there are different ways you can enjoy this recipe. Serve it with almost any side dish you choose. For example, pair these perfect breakfast eggs with air fryer bacon and avocado for breakfast. You can also enjoy it with keto bread, biscuits, or a delicious salad.

    Tips and variations

    • Refrigerate leftover eggs within two hours. Cooked eggs might start to go bad if left at room temperature for longer than that.
    • Adding parmesan cheese or any cheese you like is a great option. Mix the shredded cheese into the scrambled egg as they fry.
    • Whisk in one tablespoon of heavy cream or even sour cream to the creamy mixture of the whisked eggs before frying for a deliciously creamy flavor.
    • Add as much or as little pepper as you prefer. You can also add any other seasoning you want for the best results.

    Frequently asked questions

Can you eat scrambled eggs on the keto diet?

Yes, keto dieters can eat eggs that you cook in many ways. Eggs are actually almost a necessity while on a ketogenic diet. They contain essential nutrients for the brain, and muscle mass, promote bone health and protect the eyes. Also, eggs actually increase good cholesterol levels rather than have bad cholesterol.

Do you put milk in scrambled eggs?

You can add milk to your scrambled eggs if you like. Milk in whisked eggs will change the texture of the eggs after frying. Adding milk or water to eggs usually helps prevent the eggs from turning out rubbery. A teaspoon of milk for every egg will make the eggs creamy. However, a teaspoon of water will make them fluffy.

How many net carbs are in keto scrambled eggs?

You can enjoy keto scrambled eggs even while on a keto diet. This is because one large egg contains about 1 net carb. Four large eggs scrambled would have about 4 grams of carbs. Keto scrambled eggs are low in total carbohydrates yet high in many vitamins and nutrients that the body needs.

How many calories are in keto scrambled eggs?

One large keto scrambled egg has about 91 calories. You can calculate the calories if you fry more than one egg. Eggs also contain Omega 3 fatty acids and 6.1 grams of protein.
