Equipment Used
You can use a grill, deep fryer, instant pot, or even an oven to roast your pork chops, and they would come out good. But if you want the juicy, tender pork chops that are 100% hassle-free to make, the best way to get perfect pork chops every time is to use an air fryer.
My ninja foodi air fryer grills the pork to perfection. I'm talking crispy on the outside and moist on the inside deliciousness. And it cooks ingredients under high pressure while sealed, so all the juice remains inside. Any meal made with my ninja foodi ends up with loads of incredible flavor.
Ingredients Used
- Pork chops: I use one-inch bone-in pork chops for this recipe but you can also use boneless chops. You can get yours from your local grocery store.
- Pork seasoning: Nothing gives pork chops that irresistibly delicious taste like my favorite pork chop seasoning made from scratch with simple ingredients. It takes just two minutes to mix, and you probably already have all the ingredients in your spice drawer. You can also use your favorite steak seasoning.
- Olive oil spray: I like to lightly spray the air fryer basket and pork chops with olive oil for non-stick purposes. It also helps crisp the pork. You may use any oil of your choice.
How To Make This Recipe
- First of all, preheat the Ninja foodi. If yours doesn't come with a dedicated 'Preheat' button, switch it on to 360F and let it remain heated for four to five minutes.
- While preheating the air fryer, rinse the pork chops under running water if you need to. Then pat them dry with paper towels.
- Next, spray pork chops with some olive oil and liberally rub all sides with a generous amount of rub. Cover every surface with it.
- Spray the Ninja Foodi rack (or air fryer basket, depending on which you have) with olive oil, and then arrange the pork chops in a single layer.
- Air fry at 360F for 15 minutes, then flip the ninja foodi grill juicy pork chops with tongs. Fry for another 5-10 minutes (depending on how thick your pork chops are).
- To check for doneness, use an instant-read thermometer. The internal temperature should read 145 to 150F to be safe to eat.
Storing and Reheating
Store your leftover savory pork chops in an airtight container for up to four days. They will remain fresh in the refrigerator during this time.
You can also freeze them to preserve them longer. Wrap each one in cling film before putting it in an airtight container to remain fresh while frozen.
To reheat, first put the juicy boneless pork chops in the fridge to defrost. Then heat in the air fryer for five minutes at 375F. Insert a thermometer to check the temperature. With this, you will know if it's warmed all the way through.
You can also reheat the pork chops in the microwave. Place pork chops on a microwave-safe plate, then cover it with a damp paper towel. This would prevent the pork roast from drying out. Microwave till it is hot.
To reheat on the stovetop, put them in a skillet with a little water or chicken broth and warm on low heat. You can also use beef broth instead. Heat for about five minutes, flipping after three. They might no longer be crispy, but they would be deliciously tender and moist on the inside.
What can I eat this recipe with?
This amazing boneless pork chops recipe is versatile, so it'll go well alone or with lots of side dishes. You can serve it as a standalone meal if you want. Generously drizzle some scrumptious gravy all over and go to town on it!
Alternatively, enjoy it with this filling mashed cauliflower for a complete experience. Pair it with steamed asparagus or air-fried broccoli for a beautiful combo. You can serve these finger-licking pork chops with some broccoli salad or low-carb cauliflower potato salad. So good!
Tips and variations
- When making this pork chop recipe, marinate the pork for at least 30 minutes before air frying for even juicier, more flavorsome chops. Yum!
- Let the pork chops come to room temperature if they're cold from the fridge. It'll roast more evenly this way.
- I used thinner chops for this recipe. If you use thick pork chops, air fry at 400F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- When checking for doneness, make sure the thermometer touches the meat, not the bone, if your pork chops are bone-in. The bone would be hotter, and the thermometer might give an incorrect reading.
- After confirming that the pork chops are done, take them out of the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. Cover them up and let them sit for up to 10 minutes. This will redistribute all the juices around the meat. If you cut into it right away, the juices will run onto the plate instead.
Frequently asked questions
Air fry pork chops at a temperature ranging from 360 to 400F. At this temperature, the air fryer will cook the pork in less than 20 minutes. It's easy to overcook pork, but it would come out perfectly this way.
There are a few reasons why your pork chops are tough after cooking. It might be that you overcooked them. Overcooking pork chops by even a few minutes might cause them to dry out and become tough. A cheap cut of meat might also have the same problem. Make sure to get quality pork from a farmer's market or your local grocery store.
The length of time it takes to air fry pork chops depends on the thickness of the meat and your air fryer. A thick cut of pork chops might have a longer cooking time, while a thin one would cook faster. Also, air fryers have different fan capacities, so if yours has a powerful motor, it'll cook faster.

I used the super thick boneless porkshops from Costco. 400 degrees for 12 min flipping half way, then 390 degrees for 5 more min did the trick. Pulled them out when they were 140 degrees and let them rest to perfection. Even my picky 7 year old loved them!

I'm so glad to hear that, Heidi!
